New pathways to permanent residence in Canada

Great news for temporary workers and international graduates who are currently working in Canada and are bringing an essential contribution to fight the pandemic and to recovery the Canadian economy.
Four new special public policies had been announced yesterday to grant permanent status up to 90,000 workers under the following categories:

  1. Temporary workers currently working in Canada in essential occupations (max 50,000 applications accepted)
  2. International students who recently graduated from a program in Canada (max 40,000 applications accepted)
  3. French speakers working temporarily in essential occupations
  4. French speaking International students who recently graduated from a program in Canada

The policy will be come into effect on May 6, 2021 and will end on November 5, 2021 or until the intake cap for the respective stream has been reached.
